Technical Connect Nav+ Removal

Hi All,
please could someone tell me how to remove my Connect Nav+ unit.

In the past I have often had a "Warning: cannot read CD" message, which I've been able to fix by squirting electrical contact cleaner (non-residue type) into the CD slot, thereby cleaning the read-head (I presume). Finally this method has failed to work so I need to pull the unit out to do some serious fettling.

I notice there are a couple of holes either side of the CD slot, I presume a tool has to be pushed into these ?

I use two 3mm diameter nails to get mine out. Push them into the holes about 45mm then push both exposed ends of the nails away from each other towards the outside of the car. CN+ should just pull out easily then.
