Congrats to my Fiancée for passing her driving test with 11 minors. She's all insured on my old Astra H, just needing MOT'd and taxed. MoT tomorrow and tax on monday, no point in loosing a month, eh?

Hahaha, very funny................. oh, it wasn't a joke? Works out cheaper to insure the astra under my mums name with fiona as a named driver than it would to add her to the punto.

Also, Astra Passed MOT with 2 advisories, rear brake pipes slightly corroded. Easily sorted aslong as the pipe ends come out of the wheel cylinders.

Careful, if your mum's not going to drive the astra that's fronting and could have consequences if the insurance company finds out. If Fiona is the main driver it may be better to suck up the horrendous policy price on the grounds that she will at least be working towards earning NCD

But yeah, the comment about the punto was a joke as I would imagine the mods would make the insurance astronomical for a new driver. Nephew keeps hinting about learning to drive in my bog-standard sporting and one day I'll plug it into a price comparison website so he can see how much it would cost him to go on my insurance - I'm not that nice an auntie :laugh:

Sarcasm doesn't work with text messages. There aren't many mods on the punto, catalyst is back on so the decat is now undeclared, uprated brakes and exhaust system changes however are still declared, also the roof being black is also noted on the insurance document.

Anyway, Tax costs of either £96.25 / 6mo or £175 /pa will come on monday
