Can anyone pleeeze tell me what the difference between high density and medium density DDR Ram???? I'm searching e-bay and not sure what to get???????????????     :bang: :bang:

number of bytes on a chip. Some motherboards don't like high-density ram and will only address half of the dimm.

high-density and double sided are NOT the same thing! Double sided dimms most PCs can handle a full quartet with them (AMD64s may not operate in dual channel mode however), however dimms with higher density chips are a different matter. Some systems won't boot with them, others will only address one side of the dimm others will behave oddly.

if you're really having problems use Crucial they're not cheap but if you search by system and the ram doesn't work it's their fault. :D
