Hi Guys
If you are thinking of buying a Ducato with a Comformatic gearbox. DON'T. I did in 2019 and I am regretting that moment. Despite only doing 13,000miles over 3 years the van has broken down three times and been towed in for repairs twice! This last time because of a failed clutch. After only 13k miles!! £1,500 cost of repair and FIAT's response is "Don't care". Well, I will never buy another Fiat and recommend caution for everyone else.

Hi
What parts have they changed over these 3 years?

Its not uncommon for grages to misdiagnose these type of semi.auto

The list of failures on here is pretty varied..
Quite a few being the control side..
Any vehicle wearing out a clutch friction lining in 13k smacks of poor control

The oil cooler / heat exchanger failed sat on the drive. Towed in and replaced under warranty
Recently the clutch centre failed. Towed in again. Sleeve / Thrust bearing and clutch replaced. £1,535
Asked Fiat to make a contribution as the vehicle had done only 13k miles. They refused to offer a penny.
Amazing it took 4 hours to get to the clutch to diagnose the problem and another 4 hours to replace and put things back.
I find that it is the way now that these vehicles are built down to a price rather than for quality and serviceability.
