HiHi,
What age and engine is this
I don't think they all have the SGW stopping Engine code access
At the 2016+ build date I would anticipate a 6 figure code
P****-** format
Initial 4 saying what item (exhaust sensor). Last 2 saying what error is detected
High /Low voltage etc
Whats the history of this, been a good reliable car for months, or a recent purchase..?
Hi
It's an RX69 plate. Ah okay it's the engine light that comes on. It's only 3 years old no been good every since I bought it.
Yes unfortunately. No other issues. I'm in Berkshire wayOct 2019 /Mar 2020..
4 years now so well out of warranty
What other issues has it had since last summer?
I am based up in Chievely M4 area..
Hi, did you ever find out what the issue was? My 2019 jeep renegade has recently came up with that fault code. Cheers
Hi, a basic OBD plug in worth around £20. Only code on it was the P1471. I’ve just purchased a better scanner. Waiting on it getting delivered.Been a while since @Jen86 has been on here
How did you get that code?
A garage computer.. Or a basic OBD plug-in reader..

Hi, yes. I’m aware of that but jeep and Fiat are owned by the same parent company (stellantis) and the 500X has the same engine as my jeep. I thought it was worth a try posting here. You have a jeep?
Remember only p0### codes have to mean the same thing across manufacturers.
P1### codes can means whatever the vehicle manufacturer assigns to code.

Thanks. Yeah I’ve read that, I messaged someone on the jeep forums who had the same fault code and he said that it was a fault lambda sensor (the one before the cat). I’m just trying to narrow my fault downStellantis assign p1471 to catalyst protection..... there were technical service bulletins for the code on 2020 year 1.3 diesel engines and 1.0 petrol turbo engines exhibiting the code.
That was the same guy I messaged
Yes only one code on a cheap OBD scannerDo you only have one code?
I don't agree p1471 is for o2 sensor....... there are plenty of codes relating specifically to the many ways o2 sensor can show a fault
Agreed, but that is one of the faults for the o2 sensor, just like the other fault codes that can trigger with a bad o2 sensorDo you only have one code?
