Hey all
Been years since I've posted, but wanted to pop in since we got a very odd recall notice on our 500 (22 Dolcevita) today.

this ones under cmpain 6640 for an Incorrect data on a Certificate of Conformity and V5 document.
It's on about needing it replaced with a new one with correct info, but to my mind, I've never ever seen one of these certs come with any of the cars we've had (and that's 3 500's and a Panda!)

Has anyone else gotten this letter?

Lots of these fiat recall letters seen in the post recently I hear.

I think this is a DVLC/ insurance matter. We had a COC declaration of some sort with the Panda. It was a sheet of A5 with little more than 1 sentence stating it conformed. Signed by a a Fiat big wig. As Fiat play fast and loose with such things as conformity declaration its probably a necessity to bring paperwork in line with actual reality . Copy and docs returned to DVLC so you can identify any changes on replacements and ensure you dont find you were mis sold at purchase. It will be interesting to see whats at the bottom of this. It could be loads of things or even a genuine clerical mistake in the description given when its specifications were declared to EU authorities that needs correcting. Its VERY odd though. Ive never heard of discrepancies in conformity causing recalls before.

I am curious as ive just never come across it before.
Although we dont have any of those original docs, just the manual, service book, code card and a code key.

Only other thing I can think of, as I have seen many of these around, its registered as a Dolcevita but its matching the Plus spec completely, and there are lots of those floating about.

For DVLC to be involved it seems its maybe more fundamental in terms of mis description of economy, power output, weight or something thats serious possibly for taxation or insurance. Ive been trying to get TA power output on my V5 corrected from 90 (as sold) to 85 hp. which it actually is. There is a mismatch between my declared car and the Isurance register which I want corrected as it could make my insurance invalid. Anyone in the same situation could be affected if a car is written off it might be important. I was told my car is listed as 90hp and if its 85 its not on tge BIA database and cannot be insured as its not got an insurance group allocated!!! Sineobe at Thatcham has been lookibg into the matter. I hope this may be the start of getting it sorted.

Is this on a 1.3 multijet or on a twinair? although my memory has their bhp at 95 and 80/85 respectively.

I guess Fiat have to get things corrected on all 1ltr hybrids and wed have likely gotten the letter on the previous one if we still had it

I dont know what it is. I do hear from a contact in the sorting office a number of envelioes marked Fiat recall were seen going through. It was just a comnent asking if I had had one. Nothing yet. Mine is a Panda waze TA DECLARED BY Fiat as 90 but registered as 85hp. As the declaration was inaccurate it officialky has no insurance group!

Ahh okays I gotcha! Well i'll likely pop into uncle arnolds tomorrow and watch them go "dont know mate" lol
Oh yeah, Twinair, yeah how on earth that get declared as 90 by fiat 🙈

I'll update if I learn anything more on this.

Yes, I have received one and visited Arnold C. as this is the dealer I bought my new 2022 dolcivita from. AC staff stated this issue is bigger than it looks on paper and AC have refused to deal with it. It was also mentioned it was to do with emissions and tyre sizes stated on the COC (and potentially the V5C) and on the onboard documentation...I also did not receive a COC with my vehicle...(only my opinion but got the feeling there was more to be said about the matter)
I was then advised to contact Stellantis and if no luck they gave me an email address for the main customer care at AC..I have contacted both and both are saying to contact the other as it is their responsibility to deal with it...grrrr. I have hit a brick wall basically...so I have been looking for others in a similar position for support..so glad I found this forum and will be watching closely for other people's experiences / information.Ty.

That's been a different response to my uncle arnolds. Kirkcaldy branch just went "oh, yeah our insurers say its a non issue and nothing to worry about" So we've parked the letter for the moment.

Out of interest, is yours a regular Dolcevita or one with the Plus pack with the 16" wheels and digital display?

That is interesting..the full dimension of the wheel is 17" including the lips so yes presume 16" I have attached a photo of the displays which are very similar to mine...

That's it, thats what we have. Fiat had a fair few Dolcevita Plus models officially sold as Dolcevita which is what we have as well. I had wondered if it was all to do with this mismoddling going on, which did change ths wheel spec from 15" to 16"

But at the same time, that wouldnt change anything really on the tech spec side of things so it still confuses me over what is going on.

It is all very confusing, hope we get it resolved soon as unsure of the implications are in the future...

I have had a non-safety recall for my Wife's TA 4x4 Panda.
