Technical Clutch

I only bought my Fiat Punto 60S 1998 a couple of weeks ago and there seems to be something wrong with the clutch. When pushed down, it meets resistance about two thirds the way down and clicks if it is pressed down further. Seems to work fine though, any ideas?

Either the bush in the bell housing is knackered or its the clutch release bearings, it will get worse and eventually knacker the clutch and fingers.

Oh, right. Great! Any ideas on how much this might cost to fix?? [!]

Not much for the part, labour charge is the killer, depends on th egarage.

I got mine supplied and fitted for about £300 last december.

Thats was after being told that it could cost me about £500 from a different garage!
