General clutch plate way round ,

could anyone tell me which way round my new clutch plate needs to go in my fiat seicento, ? raised side to the flywheel , or flush side to flywheel ,i never looked when i removed the old one ,,,, what a wally ,,,,

It'll probably only fit the one way anyway as the spring hub will get in the way against the flywheel

Thread revival time. I think I've found out what I've done wrong with my clutch. Looking at the manual the sporting clutch plate fits with the raised side towards the flywheel, and the 899 fits the other way round. Is that right?

The pic is the sporting assembly.

The side with the more sticky out bit goes towards the pressure plate. Try it and see...eper pictures are for illustration purposes only.

It should only go one way round. If you stick it on there both ways, then fit the pressure plate and make sure the bolt tabs touch the bell-housing, then that's the right way.

You'll find that when fitted one way round, the pressure plate won't reach the bell-housing.
