I recently purchased a Stilo 1.9 JTD and the change from first to second seems a little clunky, has anyone else got this?

I only hear it with the windows open.

Is this normal? should I see my dealer?

Nice forum BTW.

Anyone like my sig, thats my stilo at the top of a mountain in Sardegna, Italy (where I live). Looks too hot. ;)

Daft question but how are you seated? I have long legs and like to be stretched well out thanks to some crappy knee joints.
I find that if the clutch is not in to the very last millimetre of travel then the change is also clunky. For me this means a tiny bit of pedal tippy toeing.

Cheers for the reply, I am a someone who likes to stretch out too but I have tried making sure I am depressing the clutch all the way and taking the gears slower than normal to see if it is just my driving but it does not seem to make much difference, you can even hear a little clunk sound when simply tapping the accelerator with the clutch fully up in first.

This is my first diesel and I've had to get used to some odd behavior like its ability to stall on a dime at low revs.

Thanks for your reply anyway. >:)
