hi,i have a later cinquecento sporting with an immobiliser fault can i swop a non immobilser ecu from an earlier sporting to do away with the immobiliser?any help much appreciated

my n reg one has the old style black key, thought that meant no immobiliser?

hi,yes the earlier one that ive got for spares has a black key,the later r reg one is the one with the fault, can i put the earlier ecu in the later one?

i did a couple of cinqs that came stolen recovered no keys and so swapped the brains for the earlier ones with no immobilisor but they always ran a bit fluffy, so quite possibly i was sold early m reg punto 1100 brains, never thought of that one before

1.the most common problems with immo it's a problem with reciver loop
check it first
2.ECU + immo module+key= full set ->no one could be replaced (in easy way)
3.if you want to replace ECU for decoded or just replace chip for decoded
DISCONNECT immo module first
4.are no difference beetween Sporting or S version ECU
5.from what i know all SC MPI was with immo, SPI was partially w/o immo (only cheapest versions)
