hi just a quick question will the cinquecento sporting exhaust fit onto the standard 899cc without any modifications?? thanks for reading

Without modifications, not a hope in hell. It'd a different size bore, for starters.

Just get a sporting, unless you like a lot of hard work for very little outcome.

There isn't a lot you can do with the existing engine, realistically. If the shell is a really good one, consider fitting a bigger engine and box.

Dare I suggest that as the car is a minimum of 13 years old the engine might have lost a few of its original ponies.

Whip the head off, skim it and reseat the valves.

First car, high insurance, so Rallycinq's suggestion makes a lot of sense. They do tend to be neglected, so covering the basics is a very good start.

i love my 899 to bits now i have it looking how i want also has a mad music system

after market exhaust is from spotex on ebay its designed to fit the 899, have a laugh with it mate and enjoy it

if you want more poke

try a service and remove things that arnt needed to save weight. could add an induction system but you will just make more noise than anything

Depends if u need or want em in also remove carpets head lineing, handels, spare wheel why not pull the wheel trims off aswell if your gonna do it proppa ud pull the dash, heating, stereo the lot out

2 bolts, IIRC, the ones that hold the hinges on at the front. These tend to be corroded, so wire brush them from underneath the car, and use a decent penetrating oil at least a day before you attack them.

Also check that your underwriter is happy without rear seats.

Coiln Chapman always believed in 'added lightness'.

Every kilo you remove means that the engine has one less kilo to accelerate, the tyres have on less kilo to cling onto in a corner and the brakes have one less kilo to try and stop.

It makes a surprising difference but will make the car really noisy and your underwriters may have issues.
