General Cinqu taking a ****

Hello every1 (my 1st post)

ive just bought a cinqu. got it home and noticed it was dripping water on the drive the engine wasnt over heating so i didnt think much of it until now. The water bottle was nearly empty and the poor thing is really starting to over heat. cant see any pipes dripping so not sure where to look. any1 no what the problem is and how much it will cost to fix.

Welcome to the forum.

Usual place to look is the radiator, they usually last about 4 to 5 years before going, cost about £75. Water pump could be another possibility, this one is hidden behind the cam belt cover.

The little thing has been booked in on the 3rd at the local fiat dealer. i'll post a cost... if i can afford to go online to do it.

Check it's not the washer bottle leaking - the pipes tend to perish where they connect to the pumps, right behind the radiator in the driver's side wing.

my cinq started to leak the other week, right enough it was the pipe coming off the washer bottle the rubber had perished! just cut off 10mm stuck it back on,perfect. thing is if your car is strating to overheat then it isnt the washer bottle!!!!!
