General CINQ vs merc s 320...

now then, i was in my cinq 2day, just got my seat covers and couple of mods for the inside 2day, was driving at a road at the top of my street about toiwn and these girls i know where in this asian boys merc and i tried 2 take him over cuz he was goin around 20-25 and i wasnt having it.... soo went 2 take him over ...... no chance he killed me !!!!.....

sooo as we come 2 the end of the road hes sitting at the red light and theres 2 lanes and i zoom past him at 45 and he wasnt a happy bunny lol... soo many people get the idea a cinqy is a grannys car... not the story !!!

reminds me of the fun i had with a old bmw, overtook someone when i saw him laughing at the cinqi, then he undertook me and waved, made me laugh though i'll give him that. beat him at the lights though

Anyway, that sort of reminds me of:

"I was doing 90 and taking over BMWs and Mondeos so my Nova must be faster than the lot of them" - the fact they were sticking with the speed limit and the Nova was at its brink is irrelevant obviously!I don't understand how nearly/going through a red light means something about your car and it means its not a granny's car...? If you ran a red then that says something about you IMO.

I never ran the red, it changed when i was creeping up behing him he was staionary and when he started 2 take off on the green i was already goin around 40 or something... just funny 2 see his face [:0]!! lol..

i was racing a 1.9 turbo deisel pug 306 the other day and i killed it for some strange reason i no me fiat aint that quick but for a 1.1 i aint complaneing but now it is off the road waitng for the turboed 1.2 8v with nos to be put in the bring on the mercs lol hehehehehe

When i was driving around guildford the other day, this bloke in an old nissan sports car (i dunno what it was) decided he'd let me know he had a dump valve.
My cinq is quite loud and i was only bumbling along thru traffic, but because i was making noise he felt the need to blast past me at the first opertunity letting off his dumpvalve right by me, combined with an evil glare! (he wouldn't have been so happy if he'd seen the blue smoke coming from his HKS> which was almost falling off!)
So is it over? HELL NO!
He's in the right lane> smoke and all, while i am in the free flowing left which leads under the bridge onto the aldershot road> so, i go past him, loudly downshifting as i go and park up at the lights under the bridge.
Guess who is beside me "vroooom pishhht"..ing? yep! you guessed right!
At this point i have decided a race is not the answer (it never is in town:I) so i just taunted the guy by revving the cinqi
It was well funny coz he went of racing and i pulled away like a civilised human being [8D]

I did overtake a Evo VII a week ago on the way to paintballing with 4 people in the car including me. We pulled away from the lights along side on a dual carriage way and I absolutely floored it (peer pressure) the guy pulled away normally, probably hit 2k revs and changed up, us, we were probably doing F1 revs before changing and we JUST managed to scrape by, pull in infront and then he simply overtook us 20 seconds later! It was funny but hardly a race lol! We even had our bodies going forwards and backwards (like babies do in a pushchair) to help us go faster hehe.

As Al has said, it wasn't much of a race as they were driving properly and normally where as my small car felt like he was doing the Royal Marines overnight exercise in 30 seconds!

I hate the fact that my car can barely keep up at full pace with most decent family sized cars being driven normally lol.

Then the lights changed, and while he was still feeling all superior I was already putting my cinq in front of his car

Just your average 900cc 1994 cinq.
But it helps to keep it in 2nd gear till 60km/h.
Wich is enough to squeeze it in front of any non suspecting cinqbasher that doesn't blast off once the light go's green.
