Has anyone fitted a strut brace to their cinq sporting? i ordered a momo one being told it would fit and when i came to fix it it no where near fits! it didnt even clear the battery.

dont you hate it when you buy something get excited when you come to fit it and then it doesnt fit?!! suppose you have to expect that with a cinq!

anyway if anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated!

I have a Momo one on my Sei.
It is a bastard to fit but worth it on the improvment to handling.
You have to loosen but not take out the battery to make the strut brace fit, make sure you fit it underneath any mountings so it sits on top of the strut tops to ensure maximum ridgity?!? Is that a word??

Who cares about my post count - it's all about quality not quantity!!
(at least thats what i tell myself anyway)

OMP ones fit really well and are cheap....
oh, I'm gonna have to get one now to go with my new anti roll bar!!

i think im gonna send it back i dont think it would even go over the ecu. such a shame as i wanted it to go with my new momo steering wheel! i might get an omp one then if you recommend them! hows the antiroll bar?i have heard bad things about them[?]

The strut brace has to go under the ecu - you have to lift the ecu and water bottle, fix the brace down first, then put the rest back on top of it. With the OMP one, you need to trim some of the brackets and cut a small chunk out of the water bottle one.

Haven't fitted the ARB yet, will tell you how it goes.

The OMP one is not difficult to fit, spoke to someone at Gaydon who has a Momo one and he said it was a bit tricky too. The advantage of the momo one is that it just goes under all the ecu/bottle brackets, the OMP is more tricky there.
