This is on the mrs's car.
really does my head in, revs fine on the spot. when you drive it get to 3k and it sucks back as though no fuels going through.
tried a new fuel filter, lambda sensor, plugs and leads and it hasnt fixed it. It kida got worse just lately thats why i got the lambda for it, but made no difference what so ever. is really really sluggish and struggles up hills cos you just can't rev it.

any ideas?

The exhaust sounds like a baffles come loose in the backbox but that wouldnt make it do this would it? gotta replace that anyway but would like to know if anyone knows what the problem could be.

any help would be much appreciated
Paul

poured injector cleaner throught it. straight into the inlet. still no good lol.
I used to have a cinq a few years ago myself. had a lot of the same problems so thats why i tried the lambda. just hoping the new ones not dicky.
i did notice a bit of wear on the wires that go into the injector thing though. maybe that?

MAP sensor , just been through all of this on my car mate
they arent very much to buy about £45 ,make sure the pipes arent cracked as that will effect it too

Injector lights not on no mate.
anyone got a map sensor? hehe. not sure where to take it local to me. I am in sheffield area.

cheers mate.
might have a look, see if it can be cleaned out or somethin first before more moneys chucked at it lol.

You say it revs fine on the spot but not once its loaded - I had a major problem with a blocked mesh filter in the fuel tank and had to take the pump out to clean it. The symptoms were similiar, I could coax it over 3k in neutral but not on the road. I had changed the plugs, fuel filter, lambda sensor, throttle body (don't ask) and lots of other stuff before I opened the tank access panel under the rear seat and found the pump full of clag.

yeh put it in the tank too, but thought that might get to the heart of it a bit better lol
migh try cleaning the map sensor first see how that goes.

Sorry to add my problem on your thread but my Cinq is the same you hit 3000rpm and it feels like someones pulled the handbrake on once you rev through it, it revs to 6000 no problem.
Was wondering if one of the coil packs might be breaking up?
Cheers
Adrian

sounds exactly like the birds mate! Bloody fiats lol.
Gonna try cleaning map sensor before anything, have a go at that mate see how you go. I'm gonna have a go at hers tonight to see if I can sort it. This cinquecento is taking all my time up fixing it when my evo needs loads doing to it too! hehe

Hi mate. tried cleaning it.didnt do anythin. then nicked a map sensor off a cinq at the scrappie and it still feels the same. Fed up now lol
