Thank you very glad [8D]I changed the fuse, after having had to crawl on the floor to see the piccies you referred to. Fuse was burned out right enough but even with the new one for some reason it aint working. Its a new heater motor so that shouldnt be the problem.... any ideas????

OK so now someone has told me it could be the rheostat(sp?) Can someone shed some light on this for me PLEASE?????:I Getting fed up of being stuck in traffic jams on the M62 and M1 and not able to cool it off easily :-s

i had a similar problem with old renaults, its an electrical bit fitted to the heater motor that allows the speed settings on the switch,on the renault motors it was screwed on to the motor and was green!! with the wires going into it,sorry for being vague but it was a few years ago

Pete'll have the answer for this.. but a handy hint.. If your car is overheating, put the heating on hot, full blast - it helps cool it down!

'Rheostat' is kind of an old fashioned term for the bit which controls your fan speed. Even if this is blown, you should be able to get the fan working on speed 3 as it bypasses it completely.

If not, then I'd suggest there's either something disconnected or a wiring fault elsewhere. Bit difficult to diagnose via email, it's something you have to trace out using a multimeter, starting from fuse, to switch, to fan, to earth.

Blowers arent working at all.... on any speed. Wish I was more mechanically inclined at the moment.....
