Hello folks.

I was wondering what's the way to dismantle the front panel (the one which has the dashboard attached at the driver's side), so that I can reach the space behind it (where the hot air heating up the windscreen comes from).

Also, the right side (not the driver's side) of the panel is not firmly attached: keeps moving and makes sounds while driving.

I tried taking off the dashboard cap (5 hex nuts), but it probably has nothing to do with the panel itself.

Thanks.

Looks to me like he wants to tighten up the full dash assembly, I think he's already had the clock cowl off.

The Dash bolts are in behind the air vents at the ends and IIRC under the centre middle bit.

There are also a couple of screws under the shelves at each end.

Cheers

IIRC there's also some bolts by the speaker mountings :)

Correct.

By "behind the air vents at the ends" you mean that I should take out 4 black pieces of plastic that direct the air flow, open the vent and search inside of it right?
I couldn't find anything like a bolt inside.

Easy to locate.

Got them.

Now, as the dashboard still refuses to move, do I have to detach the plastic parts from the driver's wheel?

Also, is it safe to try to move the dashboard without risking to loose connections with wires and cables connected to the speedometer , etc?

Actually I want to get inside where the hot air heating up the windscreen comes from to take out something that accidentally rolled in.

Is there any other way?
