Lighter Socket Woes
I have a Nokia 3310 for which I have a quite sturdy in car charger with a very shoort springy lead. This lead causes the plug to ping out the lighter socket if I have the phone anywhere elase apart from my left knee! As I also use an ear peice I find I end up with wires all over the place.
SO, I devised a cunning plan. I used an elastic band wrapped under the ashtray flap and over the charger, and it keeps the damn thing in. However it hasn't cured me from unclipping the seat belt and ripping the ear piece out and gettin gme into a mess at the end of every journey!
I couldn't work out if your problem was similar or whether your in car charger was different / not desinged to fit a standard lighter socket as I have never seen one any different.
Oh and before anyone goes on about using a mobile phone while driving please don't, I need to use ot for business while I drive to client meetings. I have been stopped three times for not using a hands free kit but we are now in 2002 and to be honest if I didn't then business competitors who do will have an advantage, that is life. I don't smoke which I think is more dangerous when driving to be fair!
Cheers
Nigel
