Hi all I only use the cigarette lighter socket for sat nav but the plug is very loose and comes out while travelling I have tried another plug, any ideas please

sounds like the spring grabbers at the sides have lost there grip as that is what is used for holding it in,you can buy replacement sockets and plugs if needed, note where wires go or poof will happen [lost] (y)

Or, roughneck method, disconnect battery, slide pins out with a screw driver in order to get a better connection, re connect battery et voila.

he said the plug and not the socket so no need to disconnect battery,as it is on the sat nav cable(y)

thanks all, sorry I should have mentioned I have tried different plugs so me thinks socket naff, with try the cheapo repair first, thanks again

If you only use it for your sat nav, put a thin band of insulating tape around the plug above the spring bits, make it a snugger fit. If it's still wobbly, add another band.
