Hi, can anyone give me info on fitting a towbar to a CI Riviera 171 on a 55 plate Ducato chassis without it costing me more than I paid for the MH.
Not sure if anyone supplies a DIY kit.

Officially speaking you can't these days are all towbars are supposed to be type approved to the vehicle it's fitted to and with Tiny volume things like motorhomes no manufacturers will be willing to do this as it's not cost effective

That being said it's likely you will find several specialists who can make you one still

There may be a problem with the fixing points if the chassis extensions are not strong enough. A specialist company may be able to help.

If you have Ducato you may need frame extension. I bought frame extension from x-camping and I am very satisfied. Assembly of towbar was seamless.

Mike (?) Parkinson near Preston can make one, and do any extension work on the chassis if needed, at the age of yours, you don't need to worry about type approved towbars at all.

I would advice contact with customer service on x-camping.eu
They will help you finding cheap option to your car.

Hey,
I purchased a frame extension for my Dethleffs Globe, as it was impossible to attach a towbar without it. The extension has worked perfectly.

I travelled approximately 9,000 kilometres while towing a trailer with the help of a I was pulling a large trailer weighing around 1.2 tonnes.
