cheapest travel from london to edinburgh

I planed to go to Edinburgh in november (I am from slovenia), but now I have found cheap flight to London, why not spend day or two in London... And here is the question, what is the cheapest way to get from London to Edinburgh by train (I want to see something else than clouds trough the window , so plane is not an option). Where can I book online?

if you pre book you can sometimes get cheap tickets, it can be made cheaper again by buying several different single tickets, though this can be a bit of hastle.

www.nationalrail.co.uk enter where from and where to and what day etc. trains aren't that cheap though.

i could actually get anything cheaper than about £50 and that was a coach (preston to london)

so i drove my 1.2 stilo and used half a tank of petrol there and back

£36.50 single from edinburgh (waverly) to london (Kings cross) if you advance book. in this case it's 9:30 from edinburgh on the 3rd september. 4 hours and 40mins.

FROM being the key word. also depends on how much in advance you book...
