General Cheap Cinq or Pile of Poo?

I've been looking at cheap and cheerful Cinqs recently and I've been offered this one outside of eBay, it's for sale not far from me. Offered for £250, I've offered £220. What do you lot think? Would the pink suit me?

nothing a few hours with a hair dryer cant sort out, unless you wanna keep the pink

handbrake cable is an easy fix, but they tend to sieze so you should hit it with a hammer first - there is a sticky somewhere on here that give you better technical explanation

a cinq at that price would make an ideal throw away car

Dunno if I will or not. I'd rather a Sporting. It's cheap though.

I don't see the older 899's as cheap at that price anymore, my mate bought one earlier in the year for £270 and when the MOT came up the Tester said it would take £300 to fix or £100 and a long time DIY.

I'm passing on this one. The lowest she would go was £250. It's back on eBay now with a Buy It Now price of £345. I doubt she will get that for it.

Having had a 899 and a sporting, i'd say wait for a sporting to popup mate, nothing wrong with the 899 just differences in insurance and running when considering the fun factor difference seem minimal.

I've had both 899cc Cinqs and Seis and Sportings, and yes, the Sporting is a better car.

Imola Sporting although somewhere in England didn't get any bids a wee while back and it was £100 start no res, R plate 84K miles, totally standard, if I seen it earlier it would have been mines.
