Hi - I know nothing about cars and have a Siecento and the battery needs replacing.
It is currently 340amps, I have a nearly near battery from an old car, which is 440amps, I assume if I swop them over that I may casuse some damage, please could anyone confirm?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

No problem with using this battery, it will only provide the amount of current you require at any given time, it's the voltage you need to watch, but as it came off an old car i'm assuming it's 12v anyway.
To put it another way, it's a bit like having a car that's capable of doing 200mph but if you want to only do 150 it will.

You can now go out and buy that 1000w amplifier.

Great thanks for your reply - much appreciated - have a good day.

brand name should not matter as long as you keep the cold cranking amps equal to what the old battery was.
Also know that if you change the battery that you disconnect the ground cable first (-) not the positive cable (+). Charging circuits in new cars now work off the (-) side of the battery.
