General Centre console

im interested in putting a centre concole from a gt into my mk1 60s, but wen ive looked at 1 it looks small, like the handbrake and gear lever would need to be moved.

anyone attempted to do this? does or would it work?

nope, they all fit.

you need the special handbrake surround that comes on gts/sportings/elx/VERY late SX

I assure you it does fit. you'll also need a metal bracket thing that holds the stereo in and mounts underneath it, to which the console bolts to that (and the air vents etc).

you'll have to remove gear gaitor surround. and pull the gaitor RIGHT Up and even then its a bit of a fight.

but I assure you it does fit.


also from a gt the center bit will be a different grey!! you want'd one from an elx or late sx as they are the correct colour
