CD player

Hi,

Ive been having starting problems with my punto, i had battery and alternator checked an a service and the problems are still occuring. I think ive narrowed it down to the CD player draining the battery when im not using the car! If the car is left for a while the car wont start and i need to jump start it to come on.

I left my cd fascia off so i wasnt using it at all, worked fine all week but after leaving my car from 5pm last nite to this morning it wouldnt start again so ive totally removed the cd player. Could this be the problem of draining the battery and is there a fix for it?

I have a punto 1.9 diesel.

Well, to find out you'll have to wait, and drive for some days without the cd player.

But first, use a voltmeter from battery negative to the chassis somewhere. If you get a voltage reading, there is a + wire earthing somewhere.

though most cases i see of this it usually is a faulty unit. just do wat mort said and see if anything prevails
