CD/MP3/WMA players - advice?

What experiences of thses have peeps got?

How reliable are they at playing home-burned CDs with MP3s on? Is there a max file number, do you have to put all files in one directory, or can you creat folders (ie keep/play tracks in their albums)?

Since you can get about 10 albums (at 128) onto a single CD they could/should be more use than a CD player with a changer, surely?

Or do you know better?

i have got the sony CDXF5500

sound quality is good, and i can get 11 hours of music on 1 cd-r

Make sure you get one where you can navigate the CD properly my cheapo one can either skip one song or a directory much better than say 10 tracks at a time like some do.....

Defo get one with WMA support as well you can get more songs on and still have the same quality as MP3

These are selling for £300 notes in motorworld. Amazing piece of kit and fantastic sound quality with three sets of pre-outs

I got a Sony CDX-F7700 - the same as the 7500, but with blue light instead of red and with 4v pre-outs.
I had a JVC cd/mp3 (and 2 panasonics, a denon and a blaupunkt) before, but the Sony has much better sound quality and looks so much better! mp3 sound quality is the best i've heard yet. Only bad thing about it is that you have to use the BIG remote to get access to all menu-options etc. (or maybe i just haven't figured it out yet ). It works great with an amp because of the front, rear and sub outputs and build-in hpf and lpf.

mp3 is all the way, i got me a jvc one. its very easy to use when u get them all in differnt folders for albums. mine also gives a list of tracks on the album which makes it really easy been touch screan.

Get a rotary commander for £20 notes. Had one with my Sony MiniDisc. Cant go without one now.

Fits behind the steering wheel. I'd be lost without one - becomes second nature and a lot safer too
