General Car Insurance

I think I have been lucky my parents were paying £250 insurance on a G-reg uno (both of them on the policy) and I got added as a named driver for £100. I bought the Uno, but then sold it when we then upgraded the car to a 52 reg Punto and the total only went up another £100, so £450 in total with all three of us on it.

I'm happy anyway but a lot of it depends on your area and whether you have a drive, and lots of other random things!

my 02 reg punto is insured for 450 quid, with me as a named driver- but it is my car so i shud have my own policy[:0] oh well its cheap and i dnt pay it so who cares???- more money 4 mods lol

Yeah him and the other half of the population! We have two cars which are both kept mainly in the garage even though we only have one garage.

Also my dad never drives the punto but he is the policy holder because it is easier (he deals with it). Me Mum and I are both only named drivers. Nobody cares.

Hey Mr c hows it going i use CIS because you can do any external modifications as i know you want to and they dont mind and you are still coverd for the mods aslong as you tell them for no extra aslong as it doesnt effect the BHP of the car. Under my dads name with me as a named driver its £63 a month wich i can live with. ive had to claim on them as well for my system being stolen and as they didnt have my old PG subs they gave me new ones and said pick a head unit the same cost as your old 1. and as my old one cost £360 back in the day. i got a new sony 1 that was much better than my old pioneer one.
