Technical Car has new battery now can't open boot manually

Today I had to install a new battery in the car not the remote, by a RAA approved workshop. Now the back door will not open with the handle, but will with the key. Is there something that needs programming?

try lubricating the small microswitch that is in the handle for the boot, I put a small piece of a tie-wrap to help the latch return, as it was stuck in on mine.

Unlikely to be a direct result of the battery change..

Fixed, it was a result of the battery change and had to reprogram the car by getting in, locking the doors from the inside, then unlocking. Sounds weird but worked.
