General Car cranking but not starting

Hello, I started my fiat Strada 1.2 and when I drove I saw some smoke coming from the bonnet. I stopped and popped open the bonnet and I saw smoke coming from the alternator, I then switched off the engine and disconnected the + terminal of the battery and waited for a few minutes. I then connected the terminal started the car and there was no smoke which I then continue driving then after a while I saw the battery sign on the dashboard when I arrived at my destination I switched The car off and it didn't wanna start anymore. I tried jumpstarting, Kickstarting nothing works.

What could be the problem?

You may need to address the alternator problem first and then take it from there

You may need to address the alternator problem first and then take it from there

You mean buy a new one?

You could do, but at least find out the problem. Electrical/seized pulley/damaged wiring? That might not solve the starting problem but eliminates the original cause. You may now have burned-out wiring/blown fuses/high resistance at battery terminals. Find out why it was smoking first
