Does anyone on here know of any good sights for purchasing car badges. Some delightfull person has ripped the badge of my alfa 147 (Not Fiat I know, but Fiat do own Alfa). I've looked at e-bay but cannot be bothered auctioning, unless it's a last resort.

Any help would be much appreciated

Mark

Cheers for the quick response. I was just wondering if i could buy one over the Web. I guess it'll be a trip down to the dealer this weekend then.

I wish who ever nicked it would go and steal a detinated car bomb next time!

Ok, maybe a little harsh... baseball bat wrapped round his head will do then :D

Just phoned my local dealer and can get a replacement badge for £13.75. Luvly jubbly [^]

Dunno how much it'll be to repair the damage caused by the knife/screwdriver used to force the badge off... Hopefully not too pricey.

Wont the badge cover it up?

Unfortunately not. They've pulled the whole unit that the badge sits on out by about 1/2 an inch, bending some of the metal behind it. I've tried to force it back but aint budging an inch. They also tried to get the front badge off aswell, scratching some of the paint work in the process... As if 1 badge aint enough [:(!] I can buy a little tube of touch up paint from the local Halfords for that though.

It’s just so frustrating. Up until a month ago I had a punto, which was in perfect condition when I bought it. Within 6 months it had been broken into 3 times by someone ramming a screwdriver into the door next to the lock barrel. The 3rd time they even nicked the whole lock unit, at which point I couldn’t be bothered to get it fixed. Oddly enough, no-one broke into it in the 12 months it had no lock in the drivers side door. Well, they may have done, but i just new nothing about it. Nowt got nicked though :D

I guess you should feel flattered - you have such good choice in cars everyone else wants 'em too.

Cheers Helz, feeling better already :)
I noticed on e-bay that the damn badges are goin for £25... I'm not surprised people are stealing them if people are paying that kind of money. Wait a minute, i bet one of those badges for sale is mine [:0]

I have a mate with a fetish for badges. They all get nicked from Scrappers though...much less annoying

WHy do people think about doing this/!!??! grrr.

On a security side, my school is in one of the worst places in Nottingham/the country. The road I park on has the lowest number of people staying in school after 16 in the whole country. My school is catholic, partly GM and therefore no one nearby has a chance at getting in. Anyway, you get some very dodgy people walking by. I can't park in the school grounds, too busy and I like to come and go during the day - something they don't like us doing. Therefore the road is the only place to park. I use a krook lock (a second on is in the boot if i feel the need) A hidden switch imobbliser and an alarm on top of nromal locks etc. and hiding any items.

Guess what I did the other day? After dropping off my sister I went to the sixth form, about 100metres away and I forgot to lock her door. My car sat there the whole day with the passenger door (pavement side) unlocked. How lucky was I?! very.

My first signiture (a lot of thought put into it): If you can't find the switch to switch your fogs off I am sure I can help you! Damn fogs.

Think that one's good....

Apparently the crime rate at my uni has increased this year..How surprised was I coming back to my car after 3 days to find it unlocked and everything where I left it!

Talking of dangerous places to leave your car the Tesco's car park at Pitsea, Basildon, Essex has made the national news for being the most unsafe car park in Britain, in terms of number of cars stolen. It's a really rough area, everywhere you go there are single mothers and groups of their disgusting offspring!

As for the badges I would have thought they had pretty limited use, so I guess the little pricks just do it for the sake of mindless vandalism. Hope you get it sorted OK mate.
