i need to take off the console bits, cos i wanna spray em (not sur which colour yet), and i got the bit with the gear stick and hand brake off easily, but i cant get the bit with the heating, its stuck on by something just below the hazzard light button, need help! also cant get the vents and stereo bit off. why is my car so hard to do anything too?! even finding alloys is a challenge.
anyhoo, need help.

There are two allen-key screws at the back behind the ashtray that need removing. Get your head right down there - you'll see the little swines.

After that you will need to pull a bit as there are three metal clips which hold the top half of the centre console to the main dash (just by the hazard light button area).

thanks! i'll have a bash (litterally).. just gotta get the ask tray out... (doing it right now) lol

ok, do i need to rip that bit off? or is there some ingenius way of losening it?

re wording the above the screws or rather allen bolts are under the ashtray at the rear of the recess feel around
once these are undone u can hold the dash either side and pull it smoothly forward

lol got it! finally... taken me 2 days... just learned that my spray paint is crap so i gotta layer it about 50,000,000 times.. and how do i take out the small bit above the hazzard lights button? theres doesnt seem to be anything to unscrew or pull on... will i just have to mask it and spray? (50,000,000 times) lol thanks for the help so far!

Sorry, I maybe didn't word it brilliantly.

It's behind (but UNDER) the ashtray, right at the back. You don't have to remove anything to get to the screws. They're at the top of the space behind the cupholders.

took all the screws out for the E/w and p/s buttons pannel, but nothing came off... so i just used a roll of masking tape and sprayed it there.. along with the vents and CD player bit.. looks ace in silver (red paint didnt stick to anything - ended up respraying my skateboard with it) :) thanks for your help guys... NEXT is to salvage a front and rear bumper from a 3dr sport :)
