Technical Can't open bonnet, cable snapped and can't open.

My bonnet cable broke a while ago and I repaired it by cutting the cable shorter to allow me to open the bonnet without crawling under the car. But this has failed now and I can't get the bonnet open!!!! :-( any ideas anyone?

this happened to me so i went to the scrap yard purchased a new bonnet £30

i then got some tin snips cut around the bonnet catch ,removed the old bonnet ,i then removed the locking piece of the bonnet and fitted a new bonnet release cable thingy , took me about 40 minutes,

I'm all sorted now, followed the guide and got it opened without any damage. Changed the cables over and it's all tickedy boo thanks for all your help guys

You will have noticed all these posts were from 2014...8 years ago

I was lucky.. mine broke..as it popped the bonnet ( 70 miles from home)
So no awkward acess issues

@Engineer23 here is the way to open it, but the cable must be connected to the locking mechanism, I hope yours still is and you can unlock it:

Thanks guys, but I have tried to pull the cable from underneath the car, but the snapped o my hand…
I will try to loose the bolts on the front, and see if I can manage to release the latche…
