General Can't Get Airborne!!

You might want to try and move some of the weight to the rear of the car, so the angle of attack is increased, exposing more of the lifting surface to the relative airflow, thus improving the amount of lift generated by the wing.

It's all right I've sussed it. My mistake was not putting Mrs Flashpaddler in the car. It soon filled with hot air and cruised happily at 10,000ft!!!
