2day i went for a spin in my dads car: parents away for weekend ;) sshhh!! I drove it for a couple of hours, took it on the motorway and couldnt believe the speeds its capable of- did 115mph without realising due to no cars around to judge from. And i think its due to the silence/comfort of the cabin

anyway got back in the punto :O it felt like it had no power, rattles over every bump, clutch feels wrong/broken, steerings rough, seats are uncomfortable etc.......and its an 02 reg punto! yeah ok theres just a bit of a price difference, but still...........

spose it is only my 1st car, but i wanna swap!!!!!!!! its not fair

I have a 75SX and I think the engine is quite sufficent for normal driving, I do mostly travel on motorways and while the soundlevel is slight to much Its not that bad, just turn up the stereo :) .. It will accelerate fast enough to overtake.
What I love the most is that its very roomy (atleast for the driver and front passenger) for such a small car. And the seating is really nice, sit perfectly even for a such tall person like me (1.87m). Overall, im quite happy with my punto, atleast when it works like it should ;) .. the only car in the same size that I would consider is a Toyota yaris.

i did the same when i borrowed my brothers mgf vvc - but my car is a lot better than the punto i had it was only 1108 cc once i got the bravo i knew i could never go back it is much more solidly built than the punto's but the puntos are great for a first car - a big little car :) i am gunna get a fiat coupe 2L 20V turbo for my next car - i reckon the bravo will seem really crap in comparison, thats why i dont wanna test drive one - otherwise i will buy it, i still love teh bravo too much to sell :)

lol yeah there is a bit of a price difference......

ive driven my sisters 04 clio (the ones u see everywhere in black) and feels really heavy: no accelaration. And it sounds terrible, even when standard the punto makes a bit of a noise

one thing though fiat coupe gp 19 insurance and the le version gp 20 also alot of companies not even insure you unless you over 30 its mad

Dont get depressed about your punto there really are great for the money. Its only slow cause youve got phatt wheels on ;). Ive got 15" Fox's on low profile Toyo Tires and it doesnt have move off the mark :D plenty of torque in first gear. Do get quite a lot of ride noise like :( but just more of an excuse to get some bigger speakers and turn them up ;).

I did something a lot naughtier than that. I drove my dads RX-8 with a provisional license and no insurance. Me bad only did it once just had too the temptation was too great. It happens as long as your not an idiot when you do give in to tempation theres no harm just dont do it again ;).

Oh you guys would love some of the looks i get off the police when driving my mums Audi A4 lol, and yeah im insured on it, work insurance :p

the cinq has more pull though, just dread when my mum gets the S3 :( or if she gets the '66 mustang 5.7 lol then i'll feel slow :p

ur right, its when setting off the big wheels cause a problem, but the worst is on the motorway when ive got two bikes on the roof. ive got no chance uphill!! :(

but a smaller wheel would look odd after the 17's (used to have tsw razor 15" before)
