can you help? my parcel shelf rattles

my parcel shelf keeps rattleing , it has 2 6x9's in it , it is really annoying, how can i fix this?

The speakers are too heavy for the parcel shelf.

Strengthen it with some ply then put some insulation on the contact points, i.e. mounts and joints.

Just put some foam on the inside bit of the boot, where the rear wiper is, it will solve the rattling.

You need to create a login with Network54, the people who maintain this forum, then send the details to Wimmy so he can move you into the members group so you can edit posts etc.

Mine is also jumping, just turn music loud and you wont hear it. problem solved

this happenend on mine when i fitted two 6x9's. because of the extra weight, it's obvious that it's gonna be a strain on the shelf. when you open the boot, on the exterior, just below the screen, there is a little ledge/shelf, about 2inches wide.i found that the extra weight pushes the shelf down onto this ledge.i packed mine out with some thin "foam" "sponge" stuff i got from work.only about 2-3mm thick.anything will do, as long as it sticks where the shelf makes contact with the ledge, and they don't touch after.

RR, it does work because I did it with my old shelf, no need for strenthening it, its fine, just put the foam there and it will stop the rattle
