Last night, one my way home to work, I dropped a colleague off at the pub, and carried on along a busy road in Jesmond, at the end of it, you go round a bend, travel a couple of hundred yards to a set of traffic light.

I had just rounded this bend, when a silver BMW convertible came tearing around, overtaking me on the wrong side of a traffic island, the cutting in on me to stop at the lights, causing me to break hard.

Understandably I was a bit miffed and let it be known. He responded in a way you would expect of some driving such a car (like a complete ******), and unusually for me I decided to leave it. He then started chatting to the bimbo in his passenger seat, not noticing the lights were now green, so I peeped my horn to let him know.

His reaction defies belief, he turned around, gave me a load more abuse, then put his car in reverse and rammed me

After a milli second of disbelief I returned to my usual self and lept out steering lock in hand to destroy both him and his **** mobile, but I was too slow and he screeched away, by the time I was in my car and after him, he had reached blue house roundabout and could have gone any of four ways.

Plus I don't really want to lose my licence chasing him, so I pulled in to call the police.

Second shock of the evening, they couldn't give a toss! Actually, I don't know why that shocks me

They said, ok, we'll come and see you later tonight, or tomorrow, I said, but you could come now and you may catch him, they muttered something about having no one available

Even when I said well forget it then, its pointless, they didn't try to convince me otherwise.

Does anyone know the link to the site where you can check out a car reg? I wanna see if it ties up, because I reckon it may have been stolen.

Rant over :)

James

God, what a day you had :(

It must have been stolen for him to just reverse into you like that!

And now it's gonna cost you the repairs for him being such a complete and utter dick!!

Not sure on any sites that offer that service, but good luck!! Grr

someone gave the address of a reg checker a while back to see how many prev. owners and what car etc

think was on either rac or aa pretty sure was rac though

and if you pester the police enough they can give you his details, happened when my first cinq was driven into, phoned the police and they gave me his phone number

Thanks fella's forgot to mention, fortunately enough there is no damage! I couldn't believe it, heard a crack, but it must have been his bumper :D

I think it was the RAC ghost, thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I'm fine ta, he might not be if I see him :D

He was the typical stereotype too, bald, fat, dodgy shades and a total bimbo in the passenger seat (who thought it was most amusing, retard  )

Anyways, his reg was V473ROC, so if you see him around give him my regards :)

That sucks :(

BMW 328I (95 ON) CONVERTBLE is what tesco says it is.... it was prob stolen though... did u mention that it could have been stolen when u spoke to the police? Maybe they would have seemed a little more interested :(

Yeah I mentioned it, guess it isn't as they would have check.

Yeah, I got the info somewhere, it is indeed a 328i, I thought it was a 318i, so I guess I couldn't have caught him after all LOL!

Yeah, keep an eye out for him by all means, but just let me know where you see him, I don't want anyone else getting in trouble!

What a complete and utter w***er. People like him need eradicating...

James, if you ever find out his address, let me know and I'll ensure he can never drive a car again. Or, for that matter, walk. ;)

Im a little scared by the level of voilence promised to this individual.

Sure he deserves something, but I dont think paralysing him from the waist down is the way to go. Things like this happen in arab countries, like the Honour killings in S. Arabia and us westerners call em Barbaric. Can we try and calm things down for non-violent people like me please.

James,
Sorry to hear about your run in with one of our local headcases. Anybody who drives that dangerously deserves to be locked up.
Hope you have got over the shock, it can hang around for a long time.

Sorry peop's but I also have to agree with Samtimmons that this thread has gone far enough on the retribution theme. Could we restrict further posts to commiserations and expressions of sympathy, etc. Thanks. :)

Yeah I guess we should keep the violence to a mininum, but I'd really appreciate it if anyone could let me know of any sightings, as I would really like to meet up with him, to err show him the error of his ways.

Stu, that is a fair point concerning the police, BUT when they caught him and it was clear he had no fire arms I'd end up being done for wasting there time ;)

The car was silver btw, I might go the same way home next week, but in my Dads battered Vitara, see if he wants to play dodgems then ;)

Cheers for the support! :D
