Hey guys,

Got a problem I previously posted that I needed a new clutch and have not done anything about it as of yet due to insufficent funds!!! Anyways, now the gear box is being effected by this. My local back street garage told me they would do it but would need to remove my abarth side skirts as they couldnt get it on the ramp! Im sure you will all understand that I run a mile when I heard this as he said there was no guarantee that he could get them back on right and it would cost me extra to ge them off!!

So, has anyone got the clutch fitted on the bravo in the london, hertfordshire, bucks areas and for how much. Mines a 1.6 .

Cheers

p.s they need to have a decent ramp to get the car on as well !!!

Re: mouna

I had similar difficulties getting my car with abarth skirts onto ramps. My preferred garage kept the 4 chunks of 2x4 i gave him after our first encounter, and used them every time after that. lol.
When i had to use another garage they had a ramp that was level, and you drove straight on. It would be no good if you needed to take the wheels off, as they were on the ground but he also had 2 of the type that swing arms underneath the chassis to lift it.
To cut a long story short, you are quite right to run a mile. your skirts are bonded on, and if its tigerseal or something similar, then theres a very high probability removing them will cause some damage to the paint underneath.

You'll find a garage that can do it no problem.

£199 fitted but they may not be able to fit you in. Call them and say you are a BOOzer and they should help you out. Discount if you are a member too.

I always go to Powerfiat and they are the only guys I would trust Shabash! with. Living in Biggleswade it's a bit of a trek but you can't put a price on peace of mind.
