Today i drove to uni really sensibly, (i observed most speed limits for a change) in order to keep the water temp down.
i avoided all puddles but when i got to uni i experienced a pretty bad and embarrasing mis-fire. the car sounded like a lawn mower.
by the time i got home the temp was through the roof and antifreeze was boiling over, even out of the pressure cap!!!

BUT WHY??????!!!!!!!!! anyone else experienced this?[V]

1st why were you driving slowly to avoid overheating?im guessing you already had a problem and have now learned that it is better to look into these things straight away, anyway you should look at the FAQ regarding overheating regarding the misfire it was probably just the steam getting into the electrics(its a bugger for that)might be worth spraying a little wd40/easy start etc around the electrics to disperse the moisture otherwise when you drive again all the water will re-evaporate and cause a misfire again! hope this helps[}:)]

WD40 really does work miracles, its worth spraying all electrics whilst your there, when i FIAT mechanic checked over the car when my ECU relay died, he sprayed most bits here and there for me. Nice bloke didn't charge a penny for diagnosing the problem.
