Hi folks, I've just fitted rear shocks and when I came to wheel alignment I noticed that my camber was out, I fitted a front shock absorber, what could be the problem.

Wear. Deformed stub axle. Our both our 169s were out. Do a hunt on here there i a way of improving things. Buy multi directional tyes and rotate them to even up wear. New axlesxare now only 150, bur then of course need fitting. Plenty of previous on this here. Good luck. PS my dealer said they were often like this from the factory. I have found Tyre Pros very helpful.

They were, and quite a few rear twist beams were changed under warranty because of this.

It's down to the luck of the draw whether you get a good one. The factory tolerance (from memory) is +- 3mm which is way too wide to permit accurate tracking if you get one close to the limit.

With a used car, you have the additional problem that a previous owner may have tried to lift the car by jacking it under the twist beam, another good way to put the rear out of alignment.

Sliding sideways into a kerb doesn't help, either.

Pandas are notorious for premature rear tyre wear because of this.

As in rear camber?
Rear shocks have no effect on this, so if it's out now it was almost certainly out before.
There's no provision for adjustment of camber or toe on the rear axle.
My 169 was shredding one rear tyre, I put shims on the stub axle bolts, it works but takes a bit of trial and error.

Front camber isn't adjustable.

If it's wrong, one possibility is that the top mounts have been fitted back to front. Another possibility is that someone has fitted incorrect or out of specification lower wishbones.
