General Cam Belt

Hi to all
I too have just bought P reg sx. Does anyone know when it will need a cam belt change?
Also notice some difficulty in selecting 4 to 5th and back to 4th - Is this common?
Pleased with it overall though as cheap get to work transport.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Cam belts should be done every 36k, for the gear probs check to see if your clutch is adjusted properly and that the linkages aren't loose under the bonnet.

if it's the 899cc, does'nt have a cam belt. The cam shaft is chain driven and you'll need to check the tension on it. invest in a haynes manual

Thanks Pete, another reply tells me that the cam is chain driven?
I will check linkage and cable as you suggest
