Hi All,
My Marea weekend JTD105 1.9 is comming up for a belt change, is there a guide for DIY? or is it the same proceedure as shown for the 20v engine?

Anyone in Scotland know of a good reasonable place to get it done?

Regards

The cambelt change on the JTD105 is nothing like the 2.0 version. I.e the cambelt change on the JTD105 will be approx £150 - £180 (includes new tensioners for cambelt and aux belt, cambelt and aux belt). On a 2.0 it'll be approx £400 - £800. Only the 2.0 requires an either engine out job or undo the engine mounts and push the engine aside to do the belt change.

Wher abouts in Scotland are you 2? Also have manuals for email if needed, and just copying bits out the Autodata garage manuals at the mo too.

Hi,
Yes! I would really appreciate the section on how to do the job.
Reasonable garages for this job seem to be thin on the ground up here (West Lothian).
Are there any particular Belt kits I should look for? or just buy straight from the dealer parts?
regards
Tom

We (me and Bunny) paid £250 for our 1.9JTD cambelt changes. Included new belts, tensioners and waterpump.
