As the title says, I want to buy the Redline MTL90 gear oil - do any of you know of a source in Ireland to purchase it?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Contact redline in the states and they will put you in touch with the nearest importer. Failing that you are looking at Demon Tweeks.

did i not see a tread on this topic saying regular 15/40 oil is ok ???i have run this for 15 years in every uno i have had and my local fiat dealer told me this and they raced 3 uno cup cars with no probs (y)

I got a 5ltr can of Fortech (made by Bardahl) 75w/90 semi synth gear oil from Autocare in Rathnew for €43.... Give them a call 0404 65080.. :D

Just a note - MT90 and MTL are different fluids. There is no MTL90.

Well spotted, I think they would still get the right one.

You only really have 3 options from Redline - MTL (80 weight), MT90 (90 weight) and "lightweight shockproof" (140 weight). The last one is a really weird product but quite essential if you've really upped the power - it is actually a grease but it behaves like an oil...

Of note all 3 are suitable for use in an EP compatible gearbox but none of them are actually EP oils and will not damage your gearbox like an EP oil would. They constitute the only exception that I know of to the "never put an ep rated oil in your gearbox" rule.

Yeah from what I've read any one of them would work fine but I think most people prefer MTL.
