what you guys think of this car i have got a picture, but no way of getting it on to the net but heres a lil bio! - and yes i know b*ll*cks about cars some please dont abuse me too much lol

Fiat 55s 1.1,
no alarm/immob,
5 door,
black sun roof,
clarion head unit - i have no idea what this is

no service history,
just had the front end done, - can some explain? lol
new cat and brake hose,s - what do they do?
the car is 1.56k, - dunno what that means?
and engine is like new.

now the question is this good for a £1000?

front end done probably means it had a crash and was repaired.cat = catalytic convertor and brake hoses are flexible hoses that connect to the rigid brake pipes.clarion head unit is the car stereo 1.56K is this relating to the mileage?,if so that would probably mean 156000 miles which i would walk away from.what year is it?,road tax ?,MOT?

the msg is worded like this -

"The car is a 1. 56k, engine like new"
- i dont think that refers to the mileage, but im just gunna ring him about it.

so clarion good? yeah its just been road taxed and MOT'ed.

and im not sure on the year, its an N reg... does that no help? lol

catalytic convertor is bit of exhaust controls emishions,
no service history means no matter what the mileage is it cant be sure it right, mots last a year tax 6mounth or a year,
that car isnt worth £1000 only worth half that.
an n reg should have an immobiliser fitted at factory, the car shold come with blue and red keys, if there is no red key, walk away

red key = without that cant make another key if you lose your blue ones, its like the master key kinda thing

56k isnt too bad, i'd if you defo want the car, try and haggle the price down a bit

N reg = 1995 so 9 years old.

56k miles is not too bad 156k would be far too much.
Clarion is just the stereo nothing wrong with that.

In my view £1000 is far too much you can get far cheaper puntos of that age for that, so if you want it make sure you get a better price, or have a look round elsewhere.

you know whats well bad my mum just passed her test and her insurance is £600 odd, i passed a lil while back and mine is at £1300!! - well bad! damn my age

thought about a 900cc cinquecento,group 2 insurance would let you get a years no claims under your belt for less cash

tried tesco for insurance?

I almost sold my cinqi went i found insurance was gona be 1500 (i tried everywhere) then i tried tesco and got it for 700!

And before anyone says i no you should always price insurance before buying a car but i forgot

I'm 17 (on a prov license) and its 3rd party cus im a cheap skate! But for fully comp it was 950. i think its also group 3.. so if you're aroundmy ageish you'll prob get it for about the same money?

I've got a Cinq sporting - paid too much for it really - 1700 but i loved it, it was mint n had v low mileage.

Oh yeah n have u tried the auto trader just to check the price they're going for.. even if you dont buy one from there you normally get a gud idea.
