General buying a sporting?

hi i have a fiat panda at the mo and the mot is due in 10 days and to put it midely, its buggered so i have 1500 to spend on a new car. i was looking at the Cinq sporting how quick is it as i only am 17 with no no clams and past a year ago. is there any major probs with them atall??
any help would be cool and anyother sugestions of quickish low insurance cars would be cool chears

Hmmmmm, quicker than most people and yourself when you first drive it think!

Major probs not really but here is just a small list of common faults:

Poor Handbrake
Rear bearings
Washer Hose perishing
Head gaskets
Posible sensor failure i.e. map, lambda, crank etc
Rocker cover gasket always weeps
Red ones can become faded
Some are accident damage and then repaired, look for rust to show poor repairs

I could probably go on but I don't want to put you off too much cos they are great wee cars, like the panda!

In short, go and see lots, watch the mileage as some around 50k need cam belts and all news brakes etc so service history is nice and also check all electrica are working.

Driven with care and kept in good shape, I'd go as far to say they are no worse than any other car.
