General Buying a punto 55

Alright guys and girls, i am thinking about buying a fiat punto 55, it is a 1995 'm' reg, it has done 88k miles, it has just had a new clutch, new tyres, new battery, new brakes (pads and shoes) cambelt done and recently serviced, it has 6 months tax and MOT until march 08. It is forsale for £450, is this a reasonable price? also there is an oil leak and the owner thinks it is the cam pulley seal, are these alot to fix? what is the average price to get this repaired at a garage or fiat dealer

Well I don't know much about the cam pulley seals but I would say that's a good price for the car. I've just had the clutch and brakes done on my punto and it cost around £450 in all. Lord, thats not including the £100 I paid for the service first.

That sounds like a good deal then mate! does anyone know roughly the price to get the slea fixed?

the belt has to come off for the seal to be done, seems strange it wasnt done when the belt was done be just under £100 for a garage to do it now.

saying that though, the cam cover is where they normally leak it could just be that, and then its a diy job of £4
