It actually wasnt covered under warranty cost me 98 euros! warranty is only for parts and labor concerning parts changed not general area of car.

I am struggling to believe that your oil leak wasn't the result of something they did the last time they worked on your car. (n)

Of course they will likely deny this and say it's just a coincidence .

Yeah i am sure it is. But i cant prove it so no warranty for that = ( I dont want to accuse them of anything either as i have good relations with them and they are much, much cheaper than a main dealer and hook up my car to diagnostics without charging me basically whenever i ask them to.
I will just calculate my gearbox fix cost 600 euros overall, not 500 euros = )
Basically i will only take my car to the dealer if there is a serious problem = ) Minor issues i will try to drive around.

Sometimes i really dont blame people for just getting a new car every three years on finance. Its very hard to maintain a car without being ripped off one way or another once the warranty is out.

Yeah, you can only wonder how much more they'd rip you off if you started shouting at them (n).

I'm sure you're not the only one here who thinks this.

I can see a time when private contract hire becomes more popular.

I think a lot of folks would sign up for a deal where you pay a monthly standing charge and a flat rate for each mile you cover, with the provider being responsible for all servicing & maintenance.

There are a lot of folks who think it's more important to have a predictable cost, rather than the cheapest possible price.

Yeah and i dont want to spend my life going to other car service points to find good ones! Fiat ask for 30 euros just to connect the diagnostics machine up without finding anything and then ask for 40 euros just to change lightbulbs = )

I feel a 'how many Fiat technicians takes to change a light bulb on a 500' moment...;)
Well apparently the minimum labor they can charge is 0.5 hours which comes to like 30 Euros = )
And i think they charge 15 euros for the lightbulb itself. = )
