Technical Burned smell from heater fan??

hey

have been having problems with my heater fan.. when turned on 4 it starts to loose rpm and smells like burned electronics.. normaly it does that a few sec and then rpm returns and working fine..

but now it came on speed 3 also i waited for it to regain rpm but no now its compleatly dead.. non of the speeds work!?

have been looking around on the forum and found out it could be the thermal resistor maby.. or that other thing in the top.. The guys that had the other problems did they get the smell of burned electronics?
