building media library error

Sometimes when I put music on my usb stick and plug it into my punto I get a building media library error. I can play the music with the random function but if I try to navigate to a particular folder I get the error. Any idea what causes this? I have tried removing all punctuation from album and track titles but that didn't do it.

could be some strange characters in the meta-data (id3 tags)
