Thanks, looks realy nice!
Too bad the Weekend didn't sell well here in Europe, so after the mk1, Fiat stoped selling them here.
I drive a 2000 Palio Weekend 1,6-16V, made by Tofas-Fiat Turkey, since about 5 years now, we like the car a lot, but not many Dutch did, only 3500 are sold between 1996 and 2001.

Is it true the 1,6-16V Torque engine is no longer used in the Palio, but instead a 1,8 GM engine?

yes, the 1.6 16v is not sold anymore here.. to bad.. the only engines avaliable for the palio family here are the GM 1.8 8v (113/115hp), 1.0 8v (65/66hp) and 1.4 8v (80/81hp)... but fiat bought a Tritec Motors factory here in march, so maybe they will soon have some new engines...
20k palios where sold in April 08 in Brazil.. 10k Sienas, 6k Stradas (palio pick-up truck) and 1k weekends

OK, is this "Locker" version a 4-wheel drive?
1K means 1000 right?
So the station (Weekend) is the least popular of the Palio range in Brazil?

yes, It's a lot more expensive than the entry palios, so it's normal... but will be interesting to see the sale numbers from may and june.
the locker is just FWD.. with lockable differential...
yes 1k = 1000.

So will these be available in the UK? If so, when?

The Palio Weekend Mk1 didn't sell to well in Europe, (there were plans to sell it in the UK as well though).
Fiat Europe had high expectations about the car, but dropped it after 2001.
Again, only the Weekend version was sold in the EU, but demand was very low.
In Holland, where I live, only about 3500 Weekends with 1.2, 1.6-16V and 1.7 Diesel were sold in six (6!) years.....!!
They are totally worthless now, even the latest ones ( 2001-2002)
I don't think any EU importer will even think about re-introducing the Palio, which is a great shame, looking at the 2009 pictures....

Greetings to everything, excuse if it off-top, but I would like to learn a code of a cable of illumination of rear passengers going to a plafond from car Siena/Albea 2007...
