Hello everyone!
The last couple of months the car has been randomly cutting out ,but it would always restart , if i come up to a junction or lights and drop the clutch. I thought intially it was the battery so tested it and it wasnt taking any current, then it became harder to cold start and then wouldnt start at all so again removed it and it was taking-3 amps so left it to chargeovernight , in the morning it was still taking 2 amps but i put it in the car. its been good for another month of so .On tues on my way to work it decided to cutout out but this time it wouldnt restart ,so i thought id phone the rac. he came along and checked the battery etc and said the goodnews is its not the alternator but your batterys open circuit. so ipaid for a new pricy battery and drove to work only about another mile all, ok . When i drove home 8hrs later the car cutout once again so i think theres more to this fault than the battery , if it ever was the battery. can anyone shed any light ?? , sorry for the long winded question.
